AQMs typically measure a variety of air pollutants, including particulate matter (PM), ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide(NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and carbon monoxide (CO). Some AQMs may alsomeasure other pollutants, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) andformaldehyde.

AQMs work by using a variety of sensors to detect the presence of air pollutants. The sensors in an AQM are typically calibrated to measure specific pollutants at specific concentrations.
